An Insight into Aguas Zarcas

"Mountain strawberries - road to Aguas"

Aguas Zarcas is a village with pure mountain waters on the northern route to Arenal. This is one of our recommended scenic routes on the "road less traveled". Located 15km east of Ciudad Quesada, Aguas Zarcas is an important agricultural town. It is named Aguas Zarcas for the mineral hot springs that erupt from the base of the mountain.

It is possible to stop here and visit a Tilapia farm and see the future of farmed fish on the planet. On the way up the hill towards Aguas Zarcas you will see huge pineapple plantations.
