An Insight into Carate - the end of the end of the road

This is pretty much the end of the road in Costa Rica. About 10 hours from San Jose with
two of them a bumpy ride around
the bottom of the Osa peninsular. But it's worth it to visit this little piece of paradise.
This is the southern gateway to the amazing Corcovado National Park.
From San Jose leave early and
you will see a magnificent sunset as you arrive at one of the
lodges scatered along this beautiful coast.

Along the beach you can see
the magnificent scarlet macaws feasting on almonds. The park is a short hike. At the lodges
the electricty is 12 volts.
This is truly a "getaway" - you are nowhere near anywhere!
Endless beaches, an enormous and diverse rain forest and civilization is a "one horse
town" 2 hours away.
