An Insight into La Armistad

This park takes up much of the southern center of Costa Rica.
The area is actually a number of inter connected projects.
Take the inter -American highway to San Isidro de Perez Zeledon,
then south to San Vito de Coto Brus. The La Armistad InterNational
Park is a joint effort of Costa Rica and Panama.
The park includes the Cordillera de
Talamanca which is a mountain range rising from near sea level to over 3800 meters.
Because of its location and variation in altitude, the region contains
nearly a dozen different "life zones".
