An Insight into Lankaster Gardens.

Covering about 23 acres of exuberant forest and gardens, we think this
should be on the "must visit" list for any first timer in Costa Rica.
Is one of the most valuable botanicals centers in the Americas, with about
700 native and exotic orchid species, plus bromeliads, a tropical forest,
cacti and palms. The garden attracts a huge number of butterflies and birds
and has been declared a refuge for migratory birds. Along this garden
pathway are a number of interesting and creative features including an old
Costa Rican farm house and some quite amazing bamboo "gardens". On the way
in or out try and make time for a visit to the Orosi valley nearby.
