An Insight into Tapanti National Park

Tapanti is just south east of Orosi valley near Cartago. A remote cloud
forest is the perfect place for have a picnic. Tapanti has great trails
with many different species of animals. There is a swimming area, trails
and some of the wettest rain forests with up to 280 inches of rain a year.
The La Esperanza de El Guarco Biological Station, operated by InBio is in
Tapanti National Park. It has lodging for up to 15 people, with water,
restrooms, showers and electricity (is this off the road to San Gerardo?).
